Varsity Girls Cross Country Runs Hard in Hawaii

Varsity Cross Country athletes competed on Sept. 18 in the Iolani Invitational at Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii. Overall, the team placed 15th out of 25 schools. One student, Alexia Velarde, placed 7th overall and medaled with a time of 20:11.

The following week on Sept. 25, the Cross Country team placed 2nd overall at the Tri-County Invitational held at Lake Perris, CA. Alexia Velarde placed first and set a course record with a time of 19:53.
