Admission to Preschool

Admission to Preschool is open to children of any racial, ethnic, religious or socio-economic group. Children must be 2 1/2 to 5 years of age, toilet trained, and socially and emotionally ready to enter the program.

Applicant Pools

Those applicants for whom no space is immediately available will be assigned to the applicant waitlist. Places will be filled from this group of qualified students as they occur.

Preferences in Admissions

In considering applications, the Admissions Committee will grant preference to students who have brothers or sisters already enrolled at Marywood-Palm Valley School. Equivalent applicants will be admitted based on the date of application.

Applicants will not be considered for admissions until the following have been completed:

1. The application form and fee are submitted
2. Class observation by Preschool Division Representative
3. Family interview with the Director of Admissions and Preschool Director

Once the student has been accepted, but before the student attends, parents must also submit the following:

1. Signed Enrollment Contract
2. California licensing paperwork
3. Field Trip/Emergency Waiver and Release
4. Other paperwork as determined by the Preschool Director

All information contained in these documents shall be held in strict confidence and used only as necessary to serve the student's well-being.
