Recruiting International Students
The ProgramOur international students have come to MWPV from three primary sources: 1. Families who want to relocate to the area temporarily and have found the school through word of mouth or online research; 2. Families with connections to the area who want their child to spend a year at MWPV while living with a host family or family member; and 3. Students recruited from services such as the Council on International Education Exchange (CIEE), which works with Schools all over the country to place international students with host families as part of a formal academic or cultural exchange program.

We select students to attend MWPV based on their academic achievement at their home school, their ability to communicate effectively in English, their compatibility with available host families, and the availability of host families in a given school year. Students who are recruited outside of an International Student recruitment agency and who wish to live with a MWPV host family will be asked to complete a personal statement questionnaire, including family information, interests, and photographs.
International students, like other MWPV students, are expected to contribute positively to the social and academic life of the school.
